Clothing
It is crucial to dress appropriately when canoeing. Your clothing should allow for good mobility while keeping you warm and protected from wind and weather. We recommend wearing layers so you can easily adjust to changing weather conditions. Even if the weather is good, it's important to wear footwear that can handle getting wet. Additionally, always bring a sun hat or cap, sunscreen, and drinking water.
Accidents
If an accident occurs, you should first contact the police and provide your location as accurately as possible. Therefore, always carry a fully charged mobile phone with you in the canoe in case of emergencies. We recommend downloading Denmark's official 112 app. Through this app, you can call emergency services and send your GPS signal simultaneously. (The app is free). Mobile phones, wallets, and other valuables should be packed in a waterproof dry bag. In the case of illness on board, call the emergency doctor at 70 11 07 07. Your safety is the top priority. In the event of capsizing, ensure you get to shore as quickly as possible. Recovering equipment comes second.
