The City Route takes you on an adventure along our cozy and idyllic journey from Munke Mose to Engen by Skovsøen and back again. The trip offers a unique experience beneath the green canopy of trees, with beautiful Danish nature and scenery viewed from a fantastic perspective.

During the trip, you will pass by Odense Zoo, where you might spot some of the animals from your canoe. You’ll also sail past some of the large, beautiful houses along Langelinie. When you arrive at Engen by Skovsøen, you have the opportunity to enjoy a meal in the open air. Here, you can sit peacefully close to Skovsøen and the fountain in the lake. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, you can enjoy an ice cream from Skovsøen's Ice Cream House. There are also restroom facilities available at Skovsøen.

This route is perfect for those who want to enjoy a cozy and relaxing day with family or friends. The river is very wide along this route, so there is plenty of space for canoes to pass each other.

Aafarten’s tour boats also sail part of this route, and you’re welcome to wave to the captain on board. If one of Aafarten’s boats approaches, please be mindful and pull over to the side so the boats can pass.
